OAKLAND AIRPORT SUPER BOWL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN

BayPac provided traffic management support to Oakland Airport to manage the traffic generated by Super Bowl 50, which included over 700 general aviation aircraft. Work included coordination with Port traffic management and security staff, Fixed Base Operators, City and State traffic staff to develop a comprehensive traffic management plan. The project included estimation of traffic volumes, alternate traffic routes, deployment of Changeable Message Signs, signal timing adjustment as well as public notices.
