This $11 million project provides for the widening of Buskirk Avenue, considered a "Route of Regional Significance", between Monument Boulevard and Hookston Road. It also includes undergrounding of all overhead utilities. When completed, it will become a divided four-lane roadway with enhanced pedestrian-friendly design features. It also includes the use of a state-of-the-arts storm water treatment system. Additional streetscape improvements will enhance the vibrancy of the adjoining commercial retail development while minimizing impacts on the existing oak groves. The project is funded by the City of Pleasant Hill, Rule 20 funds and Measure J Funds from the Contra Costa Transportation Authority.
Role: BayPac Consult Inc. provides project management support on this project. It is noted that Francis Lo, principal of BayPac Consult Inc., was the Project Manager for the design phase while working for another firm.
